“Expectations are higher, the game is different, the players are better,” White said. “We have to be forward-thinking. We can utilize more versatility, use players in different ways,” White added. “It’s a high-IQ team with the freedom to make plays. There’s never a substitute for experience,” White said. “This is a young roster that gained valuable experience through the course of the season.”
Coaching Career
Coaching Career: Stephanie White is currently the head coach of the Indiana Fever in the WNBA, having rejoined the team in 2024. She previously served as the head coach of the Vanderbilt Commodores women’s basketball team from 2016 to 2021.
Early Coaching Roles
Early Coaching Roles: Before becoming a head coach, White held assistant coaching positions at Ball State, Kansas State, and the University of Toledo. She joined the Chicago Sky as an assistant coach in 2007 and remained for four years.
