NFL Legend Explains Why Athletes Are Publicly Supporting Trump

TheBigLead.com is learning that in the wake of President-elect Donald Trump’s election victory, notable figures in the sports world have spoken up in their support. Former Pro Football Hall of Famer Brian Urlacher noted that athletes were no longer afraid to show their support for Trump. “I think now, no one’s scared anymore,” Urlacher said.

People were scared
Urlacher said, “People were scared for a while. You don’t want people to talk bad about you, how we’ve been talked about the last four years if you’re a Donald Trump supporter.”
Silent Trump supporter
Urlacher stated, “It’s nice to see these guys coming out and everyone who’s a silent Trump supporter – he under polls always. I think now, no one’s scared anymore … I think they’re just excited now that he got the job done, and he’s gonna get the job done the next four years.”
NFL and UFC
Athletes from the NFL and UFC recently celebrated Trump’s victory by performing the “Trump dance” in celebration. Urlacher said the enthusiasm marks a new era for silent Trump supporters.
The White House
Urlacher said, “I believed that pure excitement about Trump’s return to the White House and his presidency over the next four years has taken over.”
 University of New Mexico
Urlacher played college football at the University of New Mexico before entering the NFL. He was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the first round of the 2000 NFL Draft, and played his entire 13-season career with the Bears, becoming a key player on their defense.
Defensive Player of the Year
Urlacher was known for his versatility, playing both linebacker and safety throughout his career. Urlacher earned eight Pro Bowl selections and was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2005.
NFL career
During his NFL career, Urlacher recorded 1,353 total tackles, 41.5 sacks, and 22 interceptions. He played a crucial role in leading the Bears to Super Bowl XLI in 2007, where they faced the Indianapolis Colts.
NFL history
Urlacher was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018, and is regarded as one of the best linebackers in NFL history.
